Key Stage 3 Music

During Years 7 to 9 students receive two music lessons per fortnight. Lessons cover a range of genres and musical styles. Students will have the chance to try many different music instruments including keyboard, guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, singing, African drums, tuned percussion, and drum kit.

The focus of this course is to provide realistic experiences of music making. We adopt the musical futures approach which features a lot of group music making. There is also a big focus on music technology and students will learn how to produce their own music using industry standard software.
