At Walthamstow Academy our students’ wellbeing is paramount.
Wellbeing is the state of being “comfortable, healthy and happy”. Our wellbeing varies due to the daily demands of life, however there are various techniques and tips that can help you to improve or maintain positive wellbeing.
Wellbeing is easily split into 3 elements that contribute to our overall wellbeing:
- Physical wellbeing - your ability to perform physical activities and carry out daily tasks that are not hindered by physical limitations.
- Mental wellbeing - your thoughts and feelings and how you cope with the ups and downs of everyday life.
- Social wellbeing - your ability to make and maintain meaningful positive relationships and regular contact with other people in your world.
If you have the correct balance of all three wellbeing elements, you are likely to have positive overall wellbeing.
A message for students - If you would like to speak to a member of staff about your wellbeing, please email your Head of Year.
